🗓 Day 2: South Coast Adventure


🌋 Morning: Seljalandsfoss & Gljúfrabúi Waterfalls


Drive time from Reykjavik: ~1 hr 45 min


Walk behind Seljalandsfoss for a unique waterfall view.


Short walk north to find the hidden Gljúfrabúi waterfall inside a cave.

🌊 Late Morning: Skógafoss


Drive time: 30 min


Huge waterfall you can walk up to (prepare to get misted).


Optional hike up the stairs for a stunning view from above.

🧊 Afternoon: Sólheimajökull Glacier


Drive time: 25 min


Stop for a guided glacier walk (easy options available) or just hike to the base for views.


No bathing required—just raw, icy adventure.

🖤 Late Afternoon: Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach


Drive time: 30 min


Walk the black volcanic sands.


See the basalt column cliffs and Reynisdrangar sea stacks.


Watch for powerful waves—be cautious.

🏙️ Evening: Return to Reykjavik


Drive time: ~2.5 hours


Stop for dinner on the way in the town of Selfoss (try Tryggvaskáli or Kaffi Krús), or eat back in Reykjavik.
